BPS Login

The BPS Login page is where parents and guardians can go to create and manage their district account. The BPS Login account will give users access to the district's core tools, including Infinite Campus.

Internet access is not mandatory to use Chromebooks but more tools and resources for learning are available when students are able to connect to the Internet. Students and families who do not have internet access at home have a variety of options:

Grants for Internet Essentials

Bloomington Public Schools is partnering with Education Foundation of Bloomington to cover the monthly cost for internet access through Internet Essentials for eligible families. Filtering Home Networks

Chromebooks will be filtered at home in the same way they are at school because of a device-based filter. Sites that are blocked at school will also be blocked on Chromebooks at home. All filters inherently have holes; the best filter is teaching students to be safe and smart online coupled with appropriate supervision by adults.

An Informed Decision

Decisions to close schools are determined only after the district Severe Weather Team has consulted various authorities, including meteorologists with Hennepin County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service, law enforcement and transportation agencies and neighboring school districts.

Student Absences

Student absences are excused at the discretion of the superintendent during extreme weather conditions only, and must be called in by a parent or legal guardian.

Late Starts

Due to the complexity of student transportation, the district does not practice two-hour late starts.

After-school and Evening Activities

Principals may decide to cancel after-school and/or evening activities on the basis of current or predicted weather conditions. These cancellations are communicated through the district and school websites and/or email. A decision to cancel an after-school program or activity must be made 30 minutes prior to dismissal.
