Welcome to SSLSD! Stafford Sri Lankan School Doha was inaugurated in October 2001, under the patronage of H.E. Meerasahib Mahroof, then Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar. The school is affiliated to the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Qatar and runs as a not-for-profit organization.

Curriculum
The curriculum for these classes is designed to provide a well balanced, holistic education, closely conforming to the British curriculum. British textbooks (Key stage 2 and 3) are followed for English, Mathematics, and Science.

For each prospective student, an admissions form must be completed by his or her parents. The school also requires the following documents:

A one-on-one meeting with the principal during your school visit can be the best time to ask many of your questions. She will personally meet all applicants to discuss their interests and answer any questions they may have about the school.

How long is the Cambridge IGCSE?
The course lasts two years with students taking the examinations at the end of Form 5. English Language and Mathematics are compulsory for all students.
What do students love to do outside of school hours?
Students will find activities that they love to do outside of school hours: sports, debating, drama. They are also gradually introduced to an academically rigorous curriculum that promotes independent thinking.
